HISTORY OF ETTALONG Ettalong is an Aboriginal word meaning 'drinking place'. Aboriginal tribes
have lived in this area for over 11,000 years. Europeans began exploring the
area after being attracted by the local trees. Ettalong is now a part of the
ever expanding Central Coast attracting visitors with its clear waters and
lagoons.
